Humanitarian Design

www.GOOD.IS has posted a clip from The Colbert Report that features Emily Pilloton, the author of Design Revolution... http://www.good.is/post/emily-pilloton-on-colbert.

Colbert demonstrates life-saving foot gear designed for military troops to walk in areas with landmines with their weight elevated and evenly distributed to disburse the effects of an explosion. He also wears amazing glasses that... well just go to the link above to see these extremely innovative designs that have an extraordinarily positive impact on specific communities whether they are in remote areas of the world or in a war zone.
