Internationally acclaimed author and visionary leader of The Liquid Agency to explore processes essential for business competitiveness today

Sarasota, Fla. (January 20, 2010) – His bestselling books have been published in 20 languages and his agency hailed as “revolutionary” by BusinessWeek Magazine. On February 6, Marty Neumeier, director of transformation for the San Jose, CA-based The Liquid Agency, will show attendees of the 4th annual Ringling College Sarasota International Design Summit how some of the world’s most innovative brands have clobbered the competition by implementing design thinking in their organizations.

“For years, Marty Neumeier’s transformational thinking and books like The Designful Company have had a profound impact on major brands around the world,” said Dr. Larry R. Thompson, president of Ringling College of Art and Design. “This workshop will offer outstanding case studies and copious takeaways for how to implement design thinking and practice in business the day attendees get back to their offices or classrooms.”

Neumeier’s Design Thinking Workshop will dive deeply into the processes that are essential for companies to transform their brands into names that have lasting impact and resonance with consumers today. Attendees will learn how to innovate by design, cultivate a designers’ skill for understanding the role of the customer experience in the creation of the product or service, and how to increase the effectiveness of decision makers’ choices by giving them more and better options. The workshop is a highlight of the 2010 Ringling College Sarasota International Design Summit, taking place on the Ringling College of Art and Design Campus February 4 – 6, 2010. The event focuses on helping business maintain their competitive edge by leveraging design thinking and practice throughout their organizations.

Neumeier’s bestselling books include The Brand Gap, Zag, and The Designful Company. According to Neumeier, it’s vital to “incite business revolution by unleashing the power of design thinking.” He has developed hundreds of brand identities and architectures for companies such as Apple, Adobe, Netscape, Kodak, and Hewlett-Packard. In 2002 he launched Neutron, a design think tank focused on internal branding, which later merged with The Liquid Agency in San Jose.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7098429357272168353.post-10867943389969037832010-01-15T09:49:00.002-05:002010-01-15T10:17:33.624-05:00<h3 class="UIIntentionalStory_Message" ft="{"type":"msg"}" style="font-size: 13px; color: rgb(51, 51, 51); margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: normal; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden; ">
"GOOD - a platform for people who want to do well by doing good. A self-taught builder, David also honed his carpentry skills by creating all the furnishings and props for each of the fantasy rooms he created. But designing kitchens, baths, master suites and great rooms?

Today he is one of the most celebrated interior design personalities on television and the star of his very own design show, Color Splash, on HGTV. But even a few years ago David could not have anticipated his swift rise to fame.

David’s infectious blend of energy, creativity and dedication to each project distinguish him as a truly unique artist, design personality and television host! In addition to Color Splash, he has appeared on HGTV Showdown, HGTV’s $250,000 Challenge, The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Wendy Williams Show, Martha Stewart Living Radio and CNN.mcraighttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13630685390597311985noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7098429357272168353.post-44637510323642813072009-09-01T11:21:00.014-04:002009-09-18T10:54:52.144-04:00Speaker Announcement: Sir Ken Robinson

Pictures, shapes, colour, tone only. My desire is to do this with enough people from around the world to see if any interesting visual themes emerge. I'm hoping that others will do the same and contribute to this Flickr group: http://flickr.com/groups/726056@N20mcraighttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13630685390597311985noreply@blogger.com0
